The New 2000 CPX is an advanced Cover-Hem machine. Wide, triple or double cover hem stitch, narrow double cover hem stitch and straight stitch. Now even better on fine fabrics and new LED lighting!
It is not an overlocker. Its innovative design is based on the marriage of an industrial-style cover hem machine and a convenient home sewing machine. The resulting union has produced a high-speed, long arm, heavy-duty cover hem machine, that looks and operates like a sewing machine.
The differential feed ratio, which is adjustable from .05 to 2.25, provides exceptional control for handling all types of fabrics and for creating desired special effects.
Threading is very easy due to color-coded thread guides. And when you lift the presser foot for rethreading, the thread tensions are automatically released so you can draw the thread smoothly. It also has Janome's exclusive Seam Tightening System ( STS ) to enable fine adjustments to be made when cover hemming.
The CoverPro 2000CPX has been designed around a sewing machine rather than an overlocker. This means it sews like a sewing machine with all the dials conveniently located. It has a much larger arm space than competitor models and it has a freearm facility that is unique to this type of machine.
